With a dominant debut win, LeBron James and Luka Doncic set the tone for the Lakers' new era.

Luka Doncic, who has five All-NBA titles, begins his career with the Los Angeles Lakers almost a week after his breakout trade from the Dallas Mavericks.

Luka Doncic's debut with the Los Angeles Lakers saw him score 14 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
LeBron James and his new partner, the'star duo', led the way to a 132-113 victory over the visiting Utah Jazz with LeBron James adding 24 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists.

Austin Reaves had a total of 22 points and nine rebounds. The Lakers clinched victory for the 10th time in the past 11 games as Rui Hachimura scored 21 points and extended their winning streak to six games. On Monday, Jordan Goodwin scored 17 points in his second game for Los Angeles.

Doncic, who was acquired by the Dallas Mavericks in a blockbuster deal on February 2, made his debut on February 2 after recovering from a left calf strain. The Slovenian guard spent 24 minutes on the court and shot 5 of 14 from the field, with one of those shots coming from 3-point range.

The Jazz's road losing streak reached nine games, with Lauri Markkanen and John Collins each scoring 17 points, and Jordan Clarkson adding 16 points. Utah lost its third consecutive game overall and 12th time in their last 14 contests, with Johnny Juzang scoring 14 points.

Collins and Isaiah Collier shared a double-double for Utah, with Collins having 11 rebounds and Collier having 13 points and 10 assists.

Doncic had one turnover and one missed shot just over two minutes into the game before making his first basket in a Lakers uniform on a 3-pointer with 8:05 remaining in the opening quarter.

The Lakers led 37-25 after one period and were well in control by halftime, going into the locker room up 72-47. Before the break, Reaves had 15 points, James had 13 and Doncic had 11. In the first two quarters, the Lakers hit 60 percent, while the Jazz hit 40 percent.

The fourth quarter began with a 100-75 lead for Los Angeles, who cruised to their third victory in three attempts against Utah. Wednesday in Salt Lake City marks the final meeting between the teams this season.

James' brief visit to the locker room due to abdominal discomfort during the fourth quarter was the only reason for concern for the Lakers. He returned to the bench with just over eight minutes to play, but remained out for the rest of the game.
