Three years after advising women to give their cheating husbands more food and sex, the relationship counselor's marriage ended.
Apostle Solomon Oduro, a Ghanaian pastor and the founder of Solomon Oduro Ministries, has declared publicly that his marriage to Rev. Charlotte Oduro, a prominent marriage counselor, has ended.
Rev. Charlotte Oduro recommended in 2022 that women refrain from leaving their husbands due to infidelity, but rather to reward them with a good meal whenever they return from an extramarital affair.
She advises women against bothering their husbands or pushing them away with unnecessary complaints and criticisms whenever they detect such behavior.
Oduro, who was a guest on Accra-based Okay FM with host Abieku Santana, emphasized the importance of being considerate of others and not quick to judge them.
“When your husband returns home from cheating, let him settle, give him good s3x and food. It’s not right for anyone to cheat. Yes, it is wrong but we have all done wrong so we should be human. Let’s think thoroughly before we judge. It’s not right to do it but let’s give people a listening ear. After paying attention and listening, you can detect whether their actions were as a result of a mistake, or it was deliberate,” she stated.
In a press release issued on Monday, February 10, 2025, her husband, Apostle Oduro stated that the decision to dissolve the marriage was reached after much prayer, discussion, and careful consideration.
“After much prayer, discussion, and careful consideration, irreconcilable differences have necessitated this move,” the statement read.
As per the release, the couple had been separated for the past three years and officially ended their marriage in a traditional manner last year.
Apostle Oduro, who described himself as “a man of God, a public figure, and a role model to many,” said he felt it was his duty to officially communicate the development to the public to prevent misinformation, speculation, or undue controversy.
“I humbly request that this sensitive transition be met with understanding,” he said.
Apostle Oduro has requested that his loved ones, well-wishers, and the Body of Christ pray for him and Rev. Charlotte Oduro as they navigate this transition.
He remains committed to his divine calling, which is the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and has expressed gratitude for the continued goodwill, love, and prayers of all who have stood by him in his journey of faith.
“May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guide all hearts and minds during this season of transition,” the statement concluded.
