The most recent launch of SpaceX Falcon 9 can be seen in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Many people in Bakersfield saw the SpaceX launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base on Monday.
SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket into lower Earth orbit on Monday evening, at approximately 6:09 p.m.
After launching from Vandenberg, the Falcon 9 was seen through
Bakersfield on a clear night as it made its way towards low orbit. There
was a reddish streak that was visible followed by separation and a
whiteish glow
The mission is aimed at placing 23 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit. Once the stage separates, the first stage will arrive at a droneship named 'Of Course I Still Love You' in the Pacific Ocean.
SpaceX stated that Monday's launch was the 23rd time they've utilized the first stage booster for a mission.
