Sanwo-Olu will be hosting Southwest governors to discuss security and other topics.

 




Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is scheduled to attend a crucial meeting with Southwest counterparts at Lagos House, Ikeja today.

The gathering will be focused on key regional concerns, such as agriculture, food security, economic collaboration, and security, as stated by Gbenga Omotoso, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy.

The South West Governors' Forum will have a discussion about issues that are mutually beneficial, such as agriculture and food security, to advance economic growth, foster collaboration, and improve development initiatives in the region. The agenda includes the security of both lives and property

On June 10, 2024, Sanwo-Olu was unanimously appointed as the forum's chairman during a similar meeting in Lagos.

Sanwo-Olu's leadership led the forum to prioritize policies that aimed to strengthen regional development, as reported by the commissioner.

Omotoso reported that the upcoming session will strengthen cooperation between Southwest states, ensuring coordinated efforts to tackle pressing challenges and improve governance in the region.
