Rapper Travis Scott sued over allegations of assault and battery.
American rapper, Travis Scott is facing a lawsuit from a man who claims he was vi0lently injured by one of the rapper’s security guards, though Scott’s representatives are dismissing the case as baseless.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Omar Muhanna alleges that on August 17, 2024, in Manhattan, a security guard employed by Scott made violent physical contact with him outside a concert venue where the rapper was performing. Muhanna claims he did nothing to provoke the alleged assault and says it resulted in serious and permanent injuries.
Scott was in Manhattan that day for Fanatics Fest at the Javits Center, but Muhanna alleges that the incident occurred a few blocks away.
According to Scott's representative, he was not present during the alleged altercation as he was inside a restaurant.
The lawsuit doesn't accuse Scott of any direct involvement, but rather holds him accountable for hiring the security company that employed the guard in question. According to Muhanna, the guard had a record of violent behavior and Scott should have avoided hiring him.
The lawsuit has been dismissed by Scott's team as frivolous, while Muhanna is in pursuit of damages
