Libya has deported 48 Nigerian women (pictures)
There have been deportations of 48 Nigerian women and two children from Libya to Nigeria.
The Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) in Libya carried out this task, with the assistance of Nigeria's consular services and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
Mitiga International Airport was used to repatriate them, ensuring their safe return to Nigeria.
The development was announced by Migrant Rescue Watch through a statement on X.
The statement read, "DCIM repatriated from Tripoli with consular and IOM support 48 #migrant females with 2 children of Nigerian nationality via Mitiga Int. Airport."
