In Rivers state, a man was sentenced to death for killing a mortuary owner.
A middle-aged man identified as Eze Kingsley has been sentenced to de@th by a Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt for k!lling a mortuary owner, the late David Wagbara.
Wagbara was st@bbed to d3ath by Kingsley who was a petroleum tanker conductor on December 7, 2018, in Rumuosi Community along the East-West Road in Obio/Akpor local government area of the state, following an argument.
The deceased initiated the argument by requesting that the tanker driver remove the vehicle from the entrance of his mortuary because it was preventing him from doing his job. The situation was really heated, leading to the convict stabbing the deceased, who died from the injury sustained.
Justice Omah Diepreye, the trial judge, delivered a judgment on the matter and concluded that the prosecution proved his case beyond reasonable doubt.
