Governor Sani is being petitioned by the community for the murd3r of SS2 students at Kaduna school.

Members of the Doka Community in Kaduna have petitioned the state governor, Senator Uba Sani, to probe the circumstances leading to the d3ath of a Senior Secondary Two (SS2) student of Government Technical College, Ahmed Musa, who was found with signs of brutalisation and strangulation on the school premises.

The father of the deceased, Comrade Musa Muhammed, a journalist and activist, who confirmed the killing of his 16-year-old son, explained that the incident occurred on Sunday, February 16th, 2025.

The father who is grieving claims that his son was brutally murd3red by an unknown person.

“Ahmed Musa’s body was found within the school premises, ‘Government Technical College Malali, Kaduna,’ with physical signs of brutalisation and strangulation,” he said.

He appealed for a comprehensive investigation to uncover those behind his d3ath, and I also call for adequate compensation from those found to have had a hand in the k!lling of Ahmed Musa.

“Ahmed Musa, being the only son of his mother, his d3ath has dealt a decisive blow to the family," he added.

Meanwhile, in a petition addressed to the Governor, titled “Urgent Appeal for Justice in the M8rder of One of Our Member’s Sons (Ahmed Musa) at Technical School Malali,” the members of the Kaduna Doka Development Association (KDDA) expressed their sorrow and urgent plea for justice.

“We, the members of the Kaduna Doka Development Association (KDDA), write to you with profound sorrow and an urgent plea for justice following the tragic and senseless m8rder of Ahmed Musa, the son of one of our esteemed members, Alhaji Musa, at Technical School Malali,” the petition reads.

The Chairman of the KDDA, Sani Rabiu Bako, stated that this heinous act has profoundly impacted our entire community, not just the victim's family.

He explained that on 16th February 2025, Ahmed Musa of Technical School Malali was brutally murdered under circumstances that remain unclear but have left his family and friends in shock and disbelief.

“The loss of such a promising young life is a tragedy that no family should have to endure, and we are compelled to seek your intervention to ensure that those responsible for this crime are brought to justice.”

According to him, “our association has always worked tirelessly to promote peace, unity, and development within our community. We have strived to create a safe environment for all our members and their families. However, the recent events have shaken our faith in the safety of our surroundings. We believe that swift action from your office can restore confidence in the justice system and send a strong message that such acts of violence will not be tolerated.”

The offices of the Commissioner of Police, Commissioner for Education, DSS, and other security agencies were given copies of the petition as well.

"We kindly request Your Excellency to direct the relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate this case and ensure that the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice. We urge you to prioritize the safety and security of our citizens, especially in educational institutions, where young lives should be nurtured and protected.

"In addition to the immediate need for justice, we also request that measures be put in place to prevent similar incidents in the future. We believe that increased security presence, improved surveillance, and enhanced community policing can go a long way in ensuring the safety of our children and youth.

“We understand that the government faces numerous challenges, but we are confident that with your leadership and commitment to public safety, this matter can be resolved swiftly and effectively. We are hopeful that you will take the necessary steps to address this issue and provide comfort to the bereaved family.”

Spokesman of the Police Command, DSP Mansir Hassan, confirmed the incident.

“Yes, we are investigating the matter. The Commissioner of Police has directed a full investigation into the issue," the PPRO stated.
