A pregnant woman who was missing has been found alive without her baby
Dorathy Opus, who was nine months pregnant and went missing on Friday, February 7, 2025, has been found to be alive.
She was discovered on Wednesday, February 12, around 7 PM at The Young Roundabout in Port Harcourt, where her abductors dumped her after forcibly delivering her baby and taking the child away.
At present, Dorathy is undergoing medical treatment at a hospital in Port Harcourt.
Her sister-in-law reported that she left home on Friday afternoon with her phone, charger, and purse and promised her son that she would be back soon. Her whereabouts were unknown until now, and she never returned.
Neighbors report that Dorathy was last seen at the UPE Bus Stop, where she was waiting to board a commercial vehicle to reach her destination when she was taken.
Authorities are currently investigating the case, and efforts are being made to locate her missing baby.
The incident has sparked concern as Nigerians fear that kidnappers are now targeting pregnant women solely to take their babies.
