A 50-year-old teacher was allegedly flogged by a Catholic priest due to her questions about the deduction of lesson fees, sparking outrage.

 
A Catholic priest is being criticized for allegedly flogging a 50-year-old teacher at the school he oversees.
 


Mrs. Ikeorah Maureen was allegedly abu$ed by Reverend Fr Jude Muokwe, a priest in the Roman Catholic Church in Awka Diocese during school hours.
 


A widow who lives in Umuanugwo village, Ifitedunu is the victim. She is a Primary 6 teacher at Angel's Primary School in Ifitedunu.
 


February 12th, 2025 was when the incident took place.



According to some sources, the teacher raised concerns after the priest allegedly violated a contract agreement he had made with the teachers regarding the pupils' lesson fees.
 


The priest allegedly flogged her because of this.

Speaking after the incident, the teacher, a grandmother, is seen crying while narrating what transpired. 

She said: "He came and started fl0gging me and sl@pping me. He claimed I called the teachers for a meeting. I did not call any meeting. 

"See my face, see my back, see my legs."
